A team dedicated to quality for GE Vernova offshore wind turbines

VALEMO has just started a quality inspection mission on behalf of GE Vernova as part of the Dogger Bank offshore wind project, one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world, located in the North Sea and equipped with 190 GE Haliade-X wind turbines. This project aims to produce clean, renewable energy equivalent to the consumption of 6 million British households.

For at least 6 months, a dedicated team of 6 quality inspectors and 1 team leader will be working full-time at the GE plant in Montoir-de-Bretagne. Our experienced and qualified team is responsible for inspecting and checking the electrical, mechanical and electronic systems of the Haliade-X nacelles to verify their overall compliance before they are loaded onto the installation vessels that will transport them to the offshore wind farm. These rigorous checks enable strict monitoring of manufacturing and compliance with quality standards, thus ensuring the reliability of the equipment.

In addition, VALEMO also participates in continuous improvement activities within the factory, helping to optimize production processes and enhance the overall quality of the nacelles.
This assignment represents a significant new step in the expertise provided by VALEMO, following four years of quality inspections carried out by VALEMO at various assembly stations in the factory, demonstrating GE Vernova’s renewed confidence in our services.
