Managing plant shutdowns and restarts during negative price episodes

Chargé de conduite VALEMO

Yes, VALEMO is able to take the place of aggregators for the shutdown and restart of your renewable energy installations during periods of negative prices.

In a context where negative prices on electricity markets are becoming an increasingly frequent reality year after year (352 hours of negative prices in 2024 compared with 147 in 2023 and 64 hours in 2021), we are proud to offer our customers a proactive and effective solution for optimizing the production of their facilities.

Supported by our 24/7 supervision center, shutdowns and restarts are planned in advance using our supervision tools, in line with the deadlines of each aggregation contract.

Systematic monitoring is carried out in real time by our supervisors to ensure that instructions are properly applied, and to correct them if necessary.

In concrete terms, our commitments consist of :

  • Strictly follow the instructions given before 3 p.m. the day before;
  • Provide continuous surveillance, including at night, on weekends and holidays;
  • React quickly to minimize your financial losses.
